My original review follows: I bought the 4-piece set: 1, 2, 4, and 5.6 liters because for measuring, I yearned for wide mouth containers! You know, like watching Ina dip effortlessly into a giant vat of AP flour rather than fighting to dip a 1/4 cup into a paper 2-lb. flour bag? But you’ll want to take careful note of sizes in order to find ones that fit your needs.The 5.6 liter is 9.5” tall, 7.75” diameter. 4 liter is 9” tall, 7.25” diameter. 2 liter is 6.25” tall, 5.75” diameter, and the 1 liter Is 4.75” tall, 4.5” diameter. I bought these because I bake a lot, use several types of flour, and because, where possible, I buy my flour in 2-pound bags because it’s perishable. I finally realized trying to use measuring cups in those itty-bitty bags was so frustrating, and I LOVE these canisters because they have very wide mouths. The flour from one 2-lb. bag fits perfectly into the 1-liter; one 5-pound bag fits perfectly into the 4-liter, and I’ll use the 2-liter when I have in-between amounts or for grains and rice. I’m using the giant one for birdseed: it looks so much better in my living room than did the smaller plastic one I was using before. In the summer, I think I’ll use it in the fridge to store salad greens after spinning, because it will take up so much less room than does the salad spinner itself. I love the dimensions, because the mouths are wide enough for a hand holding a 1-cup measuring cup, but yet they’re tall enough so that they won’t take up too much room in the fridge, which is where I store my flours and grains. They’ll also look a lot nicer on my counter when I’m doing big multi-day baking projects than do big Ziploc bags with paper flour bags inside them. I do wish that the lids fit a little more tightly—if you’ve ever had the dreaded pantry moths, you’ll know why. But I put some plastic wrap underneath the lids, which creates a tight seal, and I refresh pantry moth traps in my cabinets religiously anyway, so I don’t expect a problem. I just love to use Ball/Mason jars of all sizes and lid styles to store all sorts of things, and will continue to do so, but, for flours, I’m very happy with these: super-functional and attractive.PERFECTI broke my granddaughters large one. She has the set. And I felt bad, so I wanted to replace it. Seal is really good. But, glass is thin.....I wanted to use this jar to store coffee. The jar arrived really quick. The only issue was that the box it was delivered in had pieces of broken glass in it and in the bubble wrap. But jar had no chips or broken glass .This was what I needed without buying a whole new set. So glad I found the one I needed.First, this is a set of 2 canisters but Seller only sent 1 canister. Amazon customer service advised that I order another set, then do a return on the first order. The 2nd order also produced only 1 canister, not the set of 2. For that reason I've given up and am returning both half-sets. Also notable was the lack of quality control on the canisters: Multiple dents in one stainless steel lid, a heavy build-up of glass inside on one side of the bottom, a fairly large air bubble in the outer surface of the glass leaving a noticeable flaw, and one of the plastic seals (they are thin plastic, not silicone or rubber) was creased/bent so it didn't seal properly. I can see where one might have to order a half dozen canisters (or more) to get a pair of good ones. I really wanted to love these, because they're the only glass canning jar-style canisters I've found with a 5-inch diameter opening so my husband can get his hands in! Very disappointing!Liked the product but twice they were broken to pieces. Had to call for a refund both timesI originally had the set of three (small, medium, and large) jars that were purchased from a store. I absolutely love the jars! Unfortunately, the smaller jar was accidentally dropped and subsequently shattered. I was thankful to find these on Amazon and purchased the 2-pack of the small jars. I do love these, but noticed the lids are more difficult to remove. Upon comparing the jars, I realized the rubber seal is double ringed on the new ones, verses a singular ring on the ones I already had. This could be viewed as a positive, as it may keep its contents fresher. I, however, have realized I am lazy and would prefer not to exude more effort in a task such as lid removal.
